Hi everyone! My name is Adlyn, and I’m 12 years old. I’ve just completed my PSLE exams, a huge step for me as I look ahead to the next stage of my life. But alongside that, I’m also starting another important journey—one that’s about building confidence and responsibility.
A few weeks ago, my parents took me to the orthodontist to help improve my smile and bite with braces. The total cost for this treatment is $3,950. While my parents are happy to cover it, I’ve decided that I want to pay for the full cost myself. Not just because it’s about my smile, but because I want to take responsibility for something so personal and important to me.
But here’s the thing: I don’t want to just ask for money without giving something in return. I believe that when people support each other, it should be a journey where both sides benefit. That’s why, for every contribution I receive, I will give something back to show my appreciation—whether it’s a small handmade gift, handwritten notes, or some other gesture of thanks.
This isn’t just about funding my braces. It’s about learning that with hard work and support, I can achieve anything. I want you to be part of that journey with me, not just by contributing financially, but by allowing me the opportunity to work for it and give something meaningful back to you. Together, we can make this more than just a transaction—it will be a shared experience of growth and gratitude.
Feel free to give comfortably and do not be shy or worried about your amount, any amount, no matter how big or small is a contribution to the fund, and will be greatly appreciated by me.
Thank you for considering being part of this adventure with me. Your support means more than just money—it’s a chance for me to learn, grow, and give back to those I care about.
With gratitude and eagerness,
Adlyn Koh
