When brainstorming for ideas on how to earn money to pay for my own braces, my father suggested that I crowdfund to pay for a portion of the amount (paying for my own braces was my idea). I was a bit hesitant as I had no experience in crowdfunding at all. But after much thought, I decided to give it a try and learn something new at the same time.
My father and I tried Google Sites to create my crowdfunding website. I played around with the functions, watched tutorials and searched up some website examples on Google. Finally, I settled in and began to use Google Sites more confidently.
Making my own website let me experience a mixture of stress (from having to work on it day after day to get it done as soon as possible), excitement (from the thought of me having my own website), tiredness (from the long hours staring at the computer screen, receiving feedback, editing and so on), frustration (when things don't work my way), joy (when I managed to achieve something that day), anxiety (from the always-full checklist I task myself to complete) and many other emotions. Nevertheless, I do not regret starting this website one tiny bit. The fact that all of you are so wonderful and supportive makes it even more worth it!
The brainstorming and editing often left me sluggish and tired at the end of each day. But with my future and the completed website in mind, I persevered and finally, completed my very first website! The immense relief and happiness I felt after that could not be describe by words alone. So I put it into actions, preparing tokens of gratitude for each and every one of my amazing supporters. I hope all of you feel as elated and joyful as I felt, after I completed my first website, when you receive these specially made tokens of gratitude.
Once again, a big thank you to all of you for supporting me. Without all of you, I wouldn't have made it this far. Looking forward to a brighter, nicer smile! :D
Best Regards,
Adlyn
